I skirted hosting Thanksgiving this year but that does not mean I’m not dressing my table for a feast. This Thanksgiving tablescape is simple and a little bit sophisticated. If you are hosting, this tablescape will have your guests gobbling up the ambiance as well the the meal.
Centerpiece
A soft green and pastel orange make up the soft palette of this tablescape. Cream and white accents ground the color scheme and lend a bit of sophistication to the overall feel of this fall look. The table’s centerpiece is grounded with a 35 inch charcuterie board found at Hobby Lobby. Atop the board are six ceramic pumpkins between 4 and 6 inches round. Use the white pumpkins to bookend the board and then stagger the green and orange pumpkins throughout the centerpiece. To complete the look, tuck sprigs of eucalyptus between the pumpkins and a few votive candle holders in between. The entire centerpiece rests upon a plain cream table runner. This is the same runner that I use in my Easter Tablescape.
Place Settings
I love when a placesetting can be repurposed from another holiday. The Thanksgiving Tablescape does just that. It uses the same charger, plate and cup as my Christmas Tablescape. Reusing the chargers and plates means fewer dollars spent and fewer items to store, yet the looks are entirely different. The silverware in the tablescape is from our everyday flatware collection.
The few new items in this plaesetting are the napkins and the tiny pumpkins. To make sure the napkins were the right color match with the centerpiece, I purchased the centerpiece items first and then shopped around to find matching napkins. I lucked out when I found these pastel green perfections at Home Goods. Atop the napkins, I use a tiny real pumpkin, purchased at the grocery store.
The Thanksgiving Tablescape is easy and simple yet elegant. Few frills yet soft and beautiful. I love dressing a table for celebrations. Check out our Christmas, Easter, Halloween and Mother’s Day tablescapes.
