My family has captured each peach of my heart. So the idea of crafting a peachy Valentine party was a natural fit and super fun to create. I stumbled upon a few peach themed decorations at a local craft store. It was then that I decided they would be perfect for a sweet and tasty Valentine themed party.
To create this party, I start by building upon the signage. The “You’re a Peach” sign is from Hobby Lobby and the “You’ve Got a Peach of My Heart” sign is from Michaels. To give the small sign some height add a round, white decorative tray. Secure the sign with a small nail and prop the tray using an easel. To accent the signage, I use a small wire basket and pile in a few faux peaches. To complete the centerpiece, there is of course a peach cobbler. The delicate white pie plate and the cake stand the cobbler is on both come from Target.
With the centerpiece set, it’s time to move on to the layers of pretty and pastel fabrics. The fabrics are from Hobby Lobby as well. I chose not to select fabrics with peaches in the design. Instead I opted for a floral and a geometric fabric that would accent the peach theme. Use the floral to cover the entire table and the geometric fabric serves as a table runner. For added interest, hot glue a strip of tassel ribbon to the edge of the runner.
Place Setting
The next step in creating this peachy valentine party is to design the place setting. Because the fabrics I use are busy and provide a ton of interest, I use simple dishes for the place setting. Upon the silver galvanized charger is a teal dinner plate and finally a peach, scalloped dessert plate. The teal dinner plates are the same ones I use in the adventure awaits anniversary party. I really love when elements from previous parties find their way into the latest creation.
To complete the place setting, add a peach printed glass. I serve pineapple, peach, mango juice with the cobbler not only because it’s tasty but because it looks great in the pitcher.
