A New Year’s Eve party with kids can include glitz and glam and fun for the entire family. This party is decked out in sparkle and bling plus serves up dessert meant just for kids (and the kids’ at heart). Below you’ll find all the details to create this kid centered spectacular celebration.
Party Table
The place settings and table decorations are built on a palette of silver and gold, accented with a smidge of black. To create the place settings start with a cream and gold placemat. Continue building the setting by adding a gold charger and then layer on a cream dinner plate. Top the place setting with a silver starred dessert plate and a cream napkin. A basic silver napkin holder completes the look. Though the place settings look like they could host the finest of meals, serve up a menu that includes kid friendly options like salad and pizza.
Centerpiece
To usher in the calendar change, create a centerpiece that announces the new year. This centerpiece uses leftover wine bottles from the Christmas holiday season. To create it, spray paint four empty bottles using matte black paint. Once dry, stick the corks in the bottles. Top with wood skewers that include the numerals of the new year. These numbers were created using three-inch, black and gold polka dot stickers.
To complete the centerpiece add silver and gold ornaments or bulbs. If you want some extra bling, accent the ornaments with a string of fairy lights. Ramp up with glitz by adding another layer of shine with a strand of beaded garland.
Beverages and Dessert
A New Year’s Eve party must include nose makers and bubbly beverages. Start by draping the kitchen island with a gold tablecloth. Use a serving platter to display the noisemakers next to a festive new year’s printable. For the beverage’s be sure to include a bottle of kid friendly bubbly. Next, hang a fun banner above the island. Lastly, create kid friendly desserts with cookies and milk filled plastic wine glasses.
This New Year’s Eve party keeps the kids in mind while celebrating with a bit of whimsy and a touch of elegance. For more festive seasonal ideas see our posts on Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter holiday tables.
