If your kids love pancakes, they’ll love them even more when they take the shape of the Easter bunny and are drowning in syrup and whipped cream. Easter Bunny pancakes are the centerpiece of this Easter Bunny Breakfast. So as to not attract attention away for the cute breakfast cakes, the decorations are few, allowing the main dish to take center stage.
Tablescape
To create this party, start by draping a pale pastel plastic table cloth over your table. For the place settings, use a plaid/chevron/patterned dinner plate and layer on a complimenting solid colored dessert plate. Next, set out basic white plastic utensils on top of a folded pastel napkin. Wrap the napkin and utensils with a Easter themed drink wrapper. You can find a similar drink wrapper and other Easter printables here.
On top of the dessert plate use a small jar filled with candy as an added festive touch. In the middle of the table, set out a tabletop Easter tree, coupled with a ceramic bunny and Easter eggs. To complete the tablescape, tape bunny ears to drink bottles and add a chevron paper straw.
Bunny Pancakes
The star of this party is the bunny pancakes. Start creating your bunny pancakes by frying up 2 circle pancakes. One of the circle pancakes should be slightly larger and will be used for the body of the bunny. The smaller one is for the head. Next, fry 2 oblong pancakes for the ears and finally 2 oval pancakes for the bunny feet.
Complete the bunny cakes by adding blueberries and slices of banana to the feet and finally a big glob of whipped cream for the tail. Your kids are sure to nibble up these cute and tasty bunny pancakes.
Add Dessert to Breakfast
Dessert and breakfast don’t usually work well together, but that doesn’t mean cupcake chicks can’t accompany your bunny pancakes. To make these chick cupcakes simply roll yellow frosted cupcakes in yellow sugar sprinkles. I piped the tiny wings on after rolling the cupcake and then sprinkled sugar over the wings. I wanted to make sure I didn’t crush the wings. The chick eyes are mini M&Ms and the beak and feet are orange piping. To finish the look, load the cupcakes in a small crate stuffed with shredded green paper and a few candy eggs.
Adding a few festive touches to your Easter table will help ensure everyone is “hoppy,”
