Hi, I’m Rochelle. I’m a middle aged, mother of two from the mid-west. I married my nature-loving husband sixteen years ago and together we’re raising our two sons on 2.5 acres in small town Minnesota; population 5,500. My roots are buried deep in this tiny place, but my heart and mind is drawn to the vast, expansive world of the unfamiliar and foreign. So when I’m not working my day job as an academic advisor at liberal arts university, I’m reading and planning for the next time I’ll take off on another adventure.
My thirst for knowledge about travel destinations has lead me to follow several different travel blogs. Their perfectly curated Intsa-worthy photos and flawlessly executed itineraries leave me drooling. But, they also leave to wondering what the trip was REALLY like. This blog is designed to do just that. Take you on the trip we REALLY took, with its frustrations, melts-downs and mishaps. Join me and my family as we explore the globe and our own backyard.
Here I chronicle my travels as well as my journeys in motherhood. No need to pack a bag, just follow along for all our little adventures. It’s sure to be a trip.
